According to researchers, the parasitic wasps get their venom from a virus that the species contracted over a million years ago. When scientists examined the poison, they found that it resembled a virus made of wasp DNA. After scientist decided to clear up all the theories about the wasp, they made an very important observation, that the genes very closely compared to an ancient nudivirus that the wasps used in their favor.

I felt that this article adequately explained what happened to create this poison. this was really interesting because i never would have thought that the parasitic wasp's poison came from an old virus. when i read this, i said "wow, that's pretty weird." But i would have liked to know what this virus is called.
